Als bekannt wurde, dass diese Schule nach dem Schuljahr 1992\/93 geschlossen werden w\u00fcrde, starteten einige Unternehmen (vor allem Prakla-Seismos, BEB) zusammen mit der Industrie- und Handelskammer Hannover-Hildesheim eine Kampagne zur Gr\u00fcndung einer internationalen Schule in der Region Hannover.<\/p>\n<p>Das nieders\u00e4chsische Kultusministerium, das seit 1991 an dieser Initiative beteiligt war, suchte gemeinsam mit der Stadt Hannover nach einer unkonventionellen L\u00f6sung. Der Unterricht fand in dem Geb\u00e4ude statt, das fr\u00fcher von der britischen Milit\u00e4rschule genutzt wurde. Die Unterrichtssprache war Englisch und die Lehrer:innen waren Muttersprachler:innen.<\/p>\n<p>Diejenigen, die an der Gr\u00fcndung einer Internationalen Schule beteiligt waren, hatten nicht aufgeh\u00f6rt zu planen. Die nieders\u00e4chsischen Beh\u00f6rden gew\u00e4hrten Zusch\u00fcsse und die Stadt Hannover stellte der neugegr\u00fcndeten Internationalen Schule Hannover Region GmbH (eine gemeinn\u00fctzige GmbH) ein Schulgel\u00e4nde zur Verf\u00fcgung. Wenige Wochen vor Beginn des Schuljahres 1995\/96 wurde die Er\u00f6ffnung der International School Hannover Region auf den 1. Die Schulgeb\u00e4ude wurden komplett renoviert und mit diesem Umzug erhielt die ISHR zweckm\u00e4\u00dfige R\u00e4umlichkeiten mit einer gro\u00dfen Aula, einer Sporthalle und Platz f\u00fcr Erweiterungen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2001<\/strong><br \/>\nDie erste Abschlussklasse absolviert die ISHR.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2002<\/strong><br \/>\nDie ISHR erh\u00e4lt die Genehmigung zur Durchf\u00fchrung des IB Middle Years Programme.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2003<\/strong><br \/>\nDer \u00f6rtliche internationale Kindergarten, der bereits auf demselben Campus untergebracht war, wurde offiziell Teil der ISHR.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2006<\/strong><br \/>\nDie ISHR erh\u00e4lt die Genehmigung, das IB Primary Years Programme anzubieten. Dar\u00fcber hinaus wurde mit staatlicher Unterst\u00fctzung ein 3,5 Mio. \u20ac teures Geb\u00e4udeerweiterungsprojekt in Angriff genommen.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2007<\/strong><br \/>\nDer Campus der ISHR umfasst nun einen viel gr\u00f6\u00dferen Speisesaal mit einer professionellen K\u00fcche, eine neue attraktive Bibliothek, 10 neue Klassenzimmer, einen zus\u00e4tzlichen Musikraum, ein drittes wissenschaftliches Labor und einen zweiten IT-Raum. Der Sporttrakt wurde um einen Gymnastikraum und eine Besuchertrib\u00fcne erweitert und die Hauptsporthalle wurde renoviert.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2010<\/strong><br \/>\nDie ISHR wurde von <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neasc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NEASC<\/a> (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) und <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cois.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CIS<\/a> (Council of International Schools) akkreditiert.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2013<\/strong><br \/>\nDie ISHR er\u00f6ffnete ein neues Sekundarschulzentrum, bestehend aus 11 Klassenzimmern, 2 Musik- und 5 Musik\u00fcbungsr\u00e4umen, 2 Kunstr\u00e4umen, Studienr\u00e4umen und einem Laptop-Bereich sowie einer zweiten Sporthalle und einem vierten Wissenschaftslabor.<\/li>\n<li><strong>2019<\/strong><br \/>\nISHR wurde von CIS, NEASC und der IBO erneut akkreditiert.
