Remembering Niklas Seidel

The death of Niklas Seidel has impacted all of the ISHR community. Niklas was not only an excellent academic student, but a leader in the Secondary School. He worked with our Grade 6-12 students in Model United Nations, where he brilliantly led the group as the Director General at the recent MUNover event held at school. He played badminton and founded - and led - ISHR's Entrepreneurial Club for Grade 6-12 students. He was passionate about entrepreneurship and had inspirational ideas for social entrepreneurship and business. Additionally, he was part of a student-led team redesigning school spaces. Niklas wanted to make a difference in his own life and in the world. On top of all of this, he was a great friend to many and a beloved son, brother, and grandson.

Niklas joined ISHR in 2017; prior to that, he attended the American School of Warsaw (ASW) from 2010 - 2017 where he maintained close relationships with his friends.  Just like at ISHR, Niklas  was an excellent student and earned top grades. Many people  at ASW still talk about his amazing Design project, which was unveiled just before ASW’s first Maker Faire in the spring of 2017. The launch of his self-made airplane will be remembered by many.

The ISHR Community and the ASW Community stand hand-in-hand remembering the life of Niklas Seidel.  Many of ASW’s students, teachers, and parents will travel to Hannover to participate in ceremonies here next week.

To honor the memory of Niklas, his parents encourage donations to ISHR's annual giving fund led by  The Förderverein at any donation level.  All donations received will be used to further projects or programs that foster the ideals of Niklas to develop entrepreneurial students who have a positive impact in their own lives and in the world.

We all grieve the loss of Niklas and hold his family and friends in our thoughts and in our hearts.
